China Soft Drinks Industry Association


China Soft Drinks Industry Association (called hereafter "CSDA"),approved by the former Ministry of Light Industry, and officially registered by the Ministry of Civil Affairs, was established in 1993. CSDA consists the following subsidiaries: Bottled Water Commission, Fruit and Vegetable Juice Commission, Carbonated Drinks Commission and Soft Drinks Associate Commission.

CSDA is a transregional, transsectoral national professional organization and represents the common interest of all members, who come voluntarily from soft drinks enterprises and institutions throughout the country. The current membership is more than 300, with their production amounted to 80~85% of the nation's total.

CSDA is the link and bridge between the government and enterprises. Its aim is to promote the development of Chinese soft drink industry and provide service to the industry. CSDA has the following main duties:
1. To propaganda and implement the national guiding principles and policies according to the general task of Chinese economic construction and the actual situation of the industry.
2. To investigate, modify and handle the general condition of the industry; to investigate and predict the local and international soft drinks market; to study the trend and developing regularity of the soft drinks industry.
3. To provide developing program, economic and technical policy, encouraging and restricting policy and suggestions for national economic rules and regulations relating to this industry.
4. To enhance the technical progress of the industry and widen the adoption of new technique, new technology, new material, new facility, new package and new product.
5. To recommend drafts and revised drafts of national standard; to assist concerned government departments to carry out quality inspection, evaluation and management of products.
6. To assist concerned government departments to make better use of foreign investment and administer foreign-brand carbonated drinks.
7. To organize study tour and personnel training abroad, accept foreign visitors and take part in international conferences, domestic and international exhibitions.
8. To provide consulting service on economic, technical and marketing respects; to organize symposium, industry exchanges, personnel training and evaluation conference; to collect economic and technical data of the whole industry and publish association journals of "Soft Drinks Industry", and "China Soft Drinks Industry Bulletin".
9. To coordinate the production, marketing, export and combination issues among enterprises, in order to promote further development of enterprises.
10. Under the permission of the current policy, to set up subsidiary economic entities and manage business operations.
11. Entrusted by the government and relevant departments, to organize and coordinate the antidumping and antisubsidy work.

The Notice for Collecting Theses for “2003 China International Forum on Beverage Science and Technology”

 

To whom it may concern:

With a view of further raising the scientific and technological standards of the beverage industry, promoting the transformation of scientific and technological achievements into production forces, accepting challenges after China’s accession to the WTO and speeding up the prosperity of the beverage industry in China, China Soft Drinks Industry Association has decided to hold “2003 China International Forum on Beverage Science and Technology” in Beijing in late May to early June, 2003, based upon the great success of “2001 Beijing International Forum on Beverage Science and Technology”. “2003 China International Exhibition of Beverage Science and Technology” will be held at the same time. Theses are now collected for the Forum, which are required to be characterized by higher finality and practicability besides their good academic levels. The scope of the collection of theses (see Appendix II) has been determined on the basis of adequately consulting the workers and technicians in beverage manufacturers.

The notice concerned is hereby issued as follows:

2.       The appraisal of excellent theses and the publication of the thesis anthology;

3.       The exchange of scientific and technological fruits in the beverage industry and techniques for the development of new products;

C. The collection of theses

1. The application and the outlining of theses: Those who intend to present theses at the Forum shall complete the form (see Appendix I) in Chinese and English (including an abstract of 100 – 200 words) and email (recommended) or post or fax it to both China Soft Drinks Industry Association and The Publishing House of The Beverage Industry by Oct. 30, 2002.

2. The theses: Those who intend to present theses at the Forum shall email or post (with a floppy diskette) their theses to both China Soft Drinks Industry Association and The Publishing House of The Beverage Industry by Jan. 30, 2003.  The Preparatory Committee will organize specialists to evaluate the theses and select valuable ones to publish a thesis anthology. Excellent theses appraised by the specialists will be awarded certificates, a part of which will be presented at the Forum.

The Requirements for Theses for “2003 China International Forum on Beverage Science and Technology”

 

The theses shall be typed with computers and presented by way of printed document, floppy diskette and/or email. The specific requirements are as follows:
1. The theses should have clear-cut arguments, substantial contents, good organizations, terse styles and reliable data. 3000 to 5000 words is appropriate.

2. The theses should have titles in Chinese and English, the full names, establishments, addresses and postcodes of authors, and abstracts and key words attached to them.

2.1 The abstracts should be composed of 100 ~ 200 words, stating the aim, methods, results and conclusions, without mathematical formula.

2.2 The key words refer to the core terms and words in the theses, but not general sentences.

3. The sentences should conform to the grammar and the punctuation marks to the standard.

4. The measurement should be expressed with the SI System and comply with the requirement of standardization.

5. The figures should be clear and of suitable size. The charts and tables should be well organized, simple and self-evident, attached with marks, titles and notes. The adoption of the three-line style as much as possible will be appreciated. The figures, charts and tables should be positioned correspondingly between the paragraphs in the theses. In addition, a set of standard figures, charts and tables for plate-making (carefully drawn on tracing paper with black ink; the sizes, words and symbols in which are typed with computers or written with pencils) should be presented separately.

6. The references (limited only to official publications) should be fully listed in a manner conforming to the listing regulations. “Et al” is allowed to be used only in the case of more than three authors, and cannot be used after the name of only one author. The references quoted in the texts shall be indicated with shoulder marks, which should in turn comply with the number of the corresponding references.

Exhibition Booth Rate

 

Standard Booth: USD350/square meter, not less than 9 square meters. The rate is also for the following facilities:

* Two daylight lamps, one single-phase power supply (5A/220V)socket, power supply.

Land Only: USD300/square meter; not less than 36 square meters. The organizers only provide land area, and the exhibitors should prepare other things.

Or log on the exhibition web www.chinabeverage.org and fill the electronic form and submit it.

After receiving the registration materials, the exhibition organizing committee office will discuss with the applicant about the exhibition booth arrangement and sign the Exhibition Contract in a timely manner.
